Camden Health Evolution (CHE) is happy to announce that a project a team member has extensively supported and helped to develop, in partnership with Cerner and North London Partners STP (Sustainability and Transformation Plan), is a finalist for a HSJ Partnership Award in the category ‘Best Healthcare Analytics Project for the NHS’.
They have worked hard on this project and provided analytics that are resourced to Cerner and North London Partners to develop near real-time data & intelligence monitoring tools. The award nomination is specific to our work on supporting the Covid-19 vaccination programme, for the benefit of all 1.7 million patients registered across the five boroughs of the STP: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington.
They jointly created a ‘Covid-19 vaccination dashboard’ to support local GPs, hospital staff, mental health trusts, public health teams and local councils to provide timely, accurate and detailed information about what categories of patients are taking up the vaccine more or less than others. They looked at areas such as by the ward they live in, their ethnicity, age group or deprivation index, and used that to inform public health campaigns, the location of pop-up clinics and vaccination buses, and to support clinicians to drill down through the data to identify the underlying patients to provide targeted invitations, messaging, and campaigns at patient-level as well as community levels.
This project is a fantastic example of how near real-time data and analytics can be used across the system of healthcare, including GP, hospital, and public health teams, to better improve patient care at both the individual patient and system levels. By using the same dashboard across the different sectors of healthcare, the tool therefore enabled collaboration across health and care in a rich way that has not been seen before in our local setting.
We are proud that this work has been recognised by the HSJ as a finalist for this prestigious award, and of the good outcomes that have been a result of the work itself. The winner of the award will be announced on 24th March 2022.
