What is an FCP?
A First Contact Physio (FCP) is an experienced Physiotherapist who has the advanced skills required to assess, diagnose, and recommend appropriate treatment to patients with joint, muscle and/or nerve pain.
Our FCP’s can help by providing exercise and self-management advice and referring patients onto other services if necessary.
Who is eligible?
Patients over the age of 16 who are registered at one of Central Camden PCN’s practices, with any of the following:
- Back, neck or shoulder pain
- Knee or ankle pain
- Elbow or wrist pain
- Any muscle injuries, strains, sprains, or tears
- After joint surgery e.g., knee/ hip replacement or shoulder surgery
- Sciatica
- Arthritis in any joint
- All sports injuries
How do I get referred to an FCP?
Please send an online consultation to your GP surgery and, if appropriate, they will contact you and book you directly into see an FCP.
Where and when are appointments held?
- Kings Cross Surgery: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- Ridgmount Practice: Tuesdays
- Somers Town Medical Centre: Monday afternoons and Wednesdays
